Sikh Religious Doctrine is basically a missionary belief. It’s founder Shri Guru Nanak Dev ji, travelled far and wide to deliver his message of universal truth, equality, love and brotherhood in every nook and corner of the world. Therefore it is incumbent upon the followers of the Gurus that their unique and universal teachings and the spirit of invincibility in the struggle against evil and tyranny be made known to whole of the world for the good and salvation of the humanity irrespective of race, creed and nationality.
Having these goals and vision in minds, some prominent humble sewaks of Sikh Societies and Singh Sabhas formed “Sikh Chetna Mission” to spread the ethics of Shri Guru Granth Sahib on 11th July 1997.
Sikh Chetna Mission, since its inception has been emphasizing to inject in the minds of the younger generation a sense of brotherhood and moral values along with the knowledge of Great Sikh History and Gurmaryada through meetings, seminars, Gurbani Kirtan and Kavi Darbars and above all through regularly organized annual written Gurmat Tests in various sikh public schools. Meritorious candidates of various categories are given prizes and monthly scholarships for the full academic year.
We humbly appeal to all the heads of academic institutes to join hands with us in our endeavour to let our school children participate and prepare for the written Gurmat Test whole heartedly and help in promoting and propagating Sikh Religious Doctrine and belief. Thanks….
